Our Story

Honoring Shelby

Shelby Healthcare honors the life and legacy of Shelby Grover, a child that is dear to our hearts. Shelby was a toddler when she was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. Her body may have been small, but her strength was enormous. Throughout her treatment, Shelby’s family and at-home nurse Cynthia were always there for her, providing quality care and encouragement along the way. Cynthia was beloved by Shelby and her family, and brought joy to their home during such a challenging time. After multiple chemo treatments at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shelby’s long fight came to an end on October 18th, 2007. 

At Shelby Healthcare, our mission is to help children and adults like Shelby receive the highest quality at-home medical care by experienced nurses like Cynthia. We take pride in the influence we have in our patients’ and their families lives. A portion of Shelby Healthcare’s proceeds will go to our proud sponsorship of St Jude Children's Hospital’s Partners in Hope on behalf of Shelby Grover’s family in her honor.
